Rev. Dr. Denver (a.k.a., Gypsy), Jones struggled throughout his youth with sexual abuse, physical abuse, as well as drugs & alcohol abuse. All the while, trying to bend laws so that they conformed to his needs and not the public. This behavior landed him, not once, but twice in juvenile prison as well as a home for troubled teens. As an adult, he served a sentence in a state prison, all because he could not control his impulse issues. Gypsy finally ended up getting clean and sober and acted more like, in his words, “a civilized human.” He earned his Doctorate of Divinity in the year 2002. Since, he has maintained a law-abiding life, building a future with two different nonprofit organizations. First, The Blind Leading the Blind and now with Providential Christian Life Ministries. He now aids troubled youth in finding themselves a path that is productive and law abiding.
